This year at LA Swim Week, Jasmine Romero Swim made waves — literally — with our debut runway show, The Mermaid Rodeo.

When Jasmine first dreamed up The Mermaid Rodeo, she wanted to bring together two sides of her creative spirit.

A tribute to the siren — rich and shiny tones, liquid-like finishes, and hues that glimmer under the light. Glow Up was our reminder that radiance is always an inside job, but a great bikini doesn’t hurt.

And then came the statement piece: The Fringe One-Piece. With a western twist and movement that demanded attention, it embodied the “rodeo” spirit — fearless, confident, and completely unforgettable.

Strength & Beauty: Our Inspiring Model Moment
One of the most powerful moments of the night came from a model who lives with Crohn’s disease and proudly walked the runway wearing her ostomy bag. Her courage and confidence stole the show — and she just landed a the cover of Mingo Magazine- we even had the opportunity to share a piece of her story in one of her photos from our runway show!
The Heart of Backstage: A Dog with a Purpose
Every great show has a little bit of magic — ours came with four paws.
For the second year in a row, one of our models walked with her service dog, a gentle spirit who brought calm and comfort to everyone backstage. Her presence reminded us that fashion has room for heart, healing, and humanity.
The Sound of Friendship: Drums, Dreams & Destiny
And then, there was the sound that made the room come alive — the beat of live drums, played by Jasmine’s best friend, Denise.
Performing together on one stage had been a dream for years, and this night made it real. The friendship, the energy, and the rhythm turned The Mermaid Rodeo into more than a show — it became a celebration of shared dreams.
